General Staff Building (old one) Created in 1924-1928 by the project of Russian architect Vasiliy (Wilhelm) Feodorovitch Baumgarten. Cultural monument from 20.12.1984. Other noticeable buildings by Vasiliy Baumgarten in Belgrade are Mite Lukić House in Voždovac municipality, Russian House (Ruski dom) and State Mortgage Bank of Yugoslavia branch buildings in Valjevo and in Pančevo.
