Neckties
The Serbian word 'kravata' (necktie) comes from the Croats. In the XVII century, Croatian mercenaries in the French army wore a piece of cloth around their necks as part of their uniform. The French called it 'cravate', after 'Croat', and the name stuck across Europe. In Serbian, it became 'kravata', keeping that historical nod to Croatia.
Another fun fact: in Ukrainian language, a necktie is 'краватка' (kravatka) — which is literally 'a Croatian (thing)'.
